🡥 Biel, Bern – 11.11.25 – To celebrate 11 years of Peren as a brand, we have decided to create a modern watch with a nod to futuristic design concepts made by designers from the past. The goal was to materialize the interconnection between the past and the future into a perennial product that could be relatable back in the 70’s as well as out there in 2077.
The One watch is the pinnacle of Peren’s unique design code development. Elaborated throughout the span of eight years and perfected with every product iteration, the niche utilitarian design code is based on the desire to create products that will never stop being useful. The One is a watch born out of this desire and built for a wide field of use for either urban or non-urban explorations.
The most important feature of the One watch is its understated simplicity. We wanted to create the watch that could be from the past or from the future. This is why we took inspiration from futuristic design concepts made by artists from the past while anticipating the future. The utilitarian instrument is in-house designed and developed in Biel-Bienne, Switzerland and intended for those who appreciate the timeless beauty of radical simplicity.
To achieve radical simplicity, we have used harmonious compositions while keeping a symmetrical balance of the overall watch measurements. The case of the watch is built as a 3-part construct with the middle part being the same height as the bezel and the caseback combined together.
Form follows function in every aspect of the design process and this is emphasized by the design of the crown, the pushers and the stainless steel bracelet which are built for the ease of use while keeping a minimalist design.
The Retro modern chronograph watch is powered by a hybrid Seiko VK64 mecaquartz movement combining the best of both worlds. The mechanical chronograph module offers the user a smooth sweeping second hand for the elapsed time measurement as well as an instant reset to the initial hand position at 12 o'clock.
The conventional time measurement is ensured by the supreme accuracy of the quartz technology with performance figures such as +/- 20 seconds per month.
Secured in a 3-part Stainless Steel case construct, the perennial watch offers 200 meters water resistance ensured by the screw-down crown and the anti-reflective Sapphire Crystal.
Limited to 1111 units worldwide, the utilitarian watch ships in January 2026 and can be pre-ordered on the peren’s website for 569 CHF until Jan.26. The Recommended Retail Price is set to 693 CHF.
