Regia Solar Eclipse

The Regia Eclipse gets its name from the astral phenomena known as eclipse. An eclipse occurs when one celestial object, like the Moon or Earth, blocks the light from another, like the Sun.

Regia Lunar Eclipse

The Date at 12H on the dial is being eclipsed by the circular diver index on the Bezel. The round index is treated with Swiss SuperLuminova BGW9 in order to glow in the darkest places.

The Regia Collection

The Regia collection is inspired by the Sarmizegetusa Regia Calendar, one of the most precise ancient calendar.

Inspiration

The Sarmizegetusa Regia calendar is an ancient calendar system used by the dacians in Transylvania. The calendar was based on a lunar-solar cycle, combining the phases of the moon with the movement of the sun.

Design Code

To emphasize the main function of the dacian calendar, the date is positioned at 12 o'clock and is being eclipsed by a circular index on the bezel while the calendar is subtly represented in a form of a circle.
